Ipad/digital comics
So Marvel apparently is being "cautious" about how theyre going to approach this ipad thing as its not flash based so it wont support their "Digital comics subscription"
now when they say there digital comics subscription i can only imagine they mean their lame ass motion comics? Have you seen these things? suck city. they are so corny and and wierd its unsettling, in my humble one anyway.
I dont understand why they cant just upload pages and then we can read the normal page stuff off devices?
well i do understand, its because any mort with a scanner can scan pages in and just read them as jpegs and that would cost marvel and i guess all the publishers a ton of cash.
i think potentially comics going digitally could be good for yearly subscriptions and downloadable subscription bundles, like pick ten comics you want for the year and pay one price. they could sell collectable subscription cards that are redeemable for other stuff and make you eligible for tshirts or posters or whatever?
who knows. i steal alot of scanned comics off line mostly because comics are so damned expensive, but on the same token i guess theyre partly more expensive because people are just downloading them and sales are down. Unfortunately that doesnt give me more money to buy books or make me able to buy three times as many books like i used to be.
not like i was gonna drop 450-600 on an ipad anyway, i mean shit ifi gotta bring something portable around with me im just gonna get a netbook, and if im home why would i use a netbook when i can use my desktop?
who knows.

Hugo Weaving is Sinestro.
How can anyone whose seen a movie with Hugo Weaving and looked at his face and also READ any comic book with Sinestro in it think of anyone else to play Sinestro.
the level of universal and mystical, forces converging into an instance of comic book character to real life actor perfection hasnt been seen since Patrick Stewart as professor X.

Franken-castle
The only thing more retarded than this idea making it past the "idea" phase to the getting published phase is how much i fucking love it.
